Happy holidays from the University College team! This week, we explore the intellectual "rap" beef between Cornell West and Ta-Nehisi Coates. This week, we look at a pretty significant moment in American politics: a Democrat was elected over a shady, sketchy, accused child molester Republican in the state of Alabama. Yes, Jones v. Moore was everything you expected it to be, and yet nothing that anyone needed. We take a look at how the vote turned out, what's next for Moore, and is this actually a loss that Trump can't shake off.

Welcome back to University College. Mueller is coming for everyone, it seems. And while Coleman continues to assert that there is only smoke and no fire--its getting more and more difficult to see how the entire Trump team doesn't get burned.

Nov 16, 2017

This week, we take a quick look at the GOPs "Roy Moore" problem. As more and more allegations continue to surface about his alleged criminal interactions with underaged women--what exactly will the GOP do? Is this all a setup to put current Attorney General Jeff Sessions back as senator of Alabama so that a new AG can kill the Russia investigation?

We also look at revisions to the proposed tax plan, as well as GQ Magazine's 2017 Man of the Year. Here's a hint, its Colin Kaepernick.

Nov 7, 2017

Welcome back to the U.C.! This week, we send special prayers and thoughts to the victims of Sutherland Springs, Texas--site of yet another mass shooting. We discuss the timeline of the tragedy as well as opine about vigilante justice.

Does Trump's new tax plan work for your income range? We break down the in's and out's for you.

Have a listen, #ShareTheEpisode.

University College is back with Episode 51! This week, we discuss Trump and his continued response to Puerto Rico. We also discuss Jemele Hill's suspension from ESPN. This week, the fellas FINALLY got to record an episode in the same studio! Join us as we compare and contrast Trump's presidential performance in Puerto Rico versus Las Vegas. Did he live up to the role of Consoler-in-Chief, or did he shoot an airball?

We also discuss Cam Newton's sexist comments directed at a woman reporter, and if his comments are part of a larger problem with how men view women in the work place.

Lastly, we talk about the latest episode of Black-ish--one of the best shows on television today. Is Black-ish coming for the number one spot currently occupied by 'The Cosby Show' as the most important sitcom for African Americans?

*Note: The University College family extends its deepest sympathies and prayers to all of those impacted by the recent and tragic shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Welcome to a very special episode of University College. Episode 48 is an open discussion about free speech, race in America, and much more. Is Trump America's president, or simply the president of his base? Have we reached a new low when the KKK holds a rally that ends in the death of an innocent protester.

Welcome to Episode 46 of University College. This week, we are pleased to welcome Pastor Clarence C. Moore of New Era Church to the show. Pastor Moore, father of host Curtiss Moore, shares his wisdom with us regarding the current state of the Black Church, his beliefs on how to get young people back into the sanctuary, and the responsibility of the church to help the community fight the discrimination that has continued to plague its members. While we hope you listen to all of our shows, this one is especially important. If you require a spiritual pick-me-up, or simply want to hear a good lesson, we urge you to listen and share.

Be Inspired.

In this edition of University College, we discuss Trump v. Sessions, the complete disarray of this White House administration, and a brief look at the latest healthcare votes.

We also take a look at Kyrie Irving's shocking (or not so shocking) proclamation that he wants out of Cleveland--and more importantly that he does not want to play second fiddle to LeBron James any longer. What does this mean for him moving forward, and does this reflect poorly on King James.

Finally, we discuss "Power". GHOST. IS. OUT! How will he rebuild his empire? What does this mean for him and Tasha, or him and Angie?

Its a great discussion, and we hope you join us.

What do President Trump and Kevin Durant have in common? More than you realize. Trump, who may be one of the most polarizing people in the US is now joined by Kevin Durant who is equally hated for "taking the easy way out."

This week, we discuss Trump, Comey, Sessions, the DOJ, and why Trump continues to lie about the most basic of facts.

We also take a look at the 2016-2017 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, specifically, Durant's place among the greats of all time. It wouldn't be University College if we didn't also analyze Durant's love/hate relationship with a wave brush.

Check us out!

#RepresentationMatters, but its more than a phrase. Dr. Alden Landry and his team have a firm belief that there should be more people of color in the health professions (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, etc.). With this thought in mind, he started Tour For Diversity in Medicine and the rest is history!

Tour For Diversity provides access to students of color who are interested in the health professions. These students get a chance to visit universities all over the country and discuss their goals with professionals currently in a related field.

Whether you're interested in medicine or just want a jolt of motivation, Dr. Landry provides very insightful words of inspiration while also discussing his personal story.

We hope you enjoy!

We’d like to welcome all of our listeners to Episode 38 of University College. This week we provide updates on recent “high profile” cases involving police offer-involved shootings of African Americans in Tulsa, Miami, and Cleveland. Should a jury be allowed to hear about a victim’s past issues, or should the jury only be allowed to consider what the officer knew at the time of the incident?

Also, is America fake caring about Eldrick “Tiger” Woods, or is this is serious as the media is making it sound?

Finally, can LeBron and Kyrie compete with the Warrior’s and Durant’s estranged wave brush?

We discuss all of this and more! If you listen to the episode and enjoy it, share the content.

In this #UCSoundbyte, Curtiss, Mike and I discuss why Mike refuses to acknowledge that there is there...there. Do we believe that Trump can be quiet long enough to let the investigation run its course? What does it mean that there is a resounding silence when conservatives normally run to his side? How much political power does Trump have left to spend? We briefly tackle all of this and more.
